What are these, and could they be ruining my garage’s foundation?

Hi- we purchased a house that has these two trees (bushes? shrubs?) outside of the garage. The concrete floor in the garage is pretty messed up, but the driveway nearby is fine. Any idea as to what these are and if they could be causing damage with their roots? We are planning to remove them. Thanks!
